The Nations online sports news of January 14th 2018 pointed at Nigeria's golf champion, Georgia Oboh. According to the news, Oboh has put Nigeria on the world map since she came out as the 2015 U.S Kids Golf Teen World champion that took place at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club, North Carolina, USA.
She played a gross score of 76 over 18 holes on the first day, 78 on the second day and ended the Championship with a gross score of 69 on the last day.
On this note, she was also given a wildcard as a first Nigeria to contest in the golf event of the 2018 World Youth Olympic Games held in Argentina and with the aim of making it to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games in Japan.
