Nigeria has participated in various local, national and international golf championships, some of their 2018 games features include the below;

National and Continental Golf Competitions

  • West African Golf Tour "Eko Challenge Cup" - March 7th to March 9th, 2018, Lakowe Lakes Golf Club, Lagos Nigeria.
  • 56th Lagos Amateur Open Golf Championship - 17th to 19th November 2017  

  • FCT Professional/Amateur Golf Tournament – 28th to 31st June, 2017 at the IBB International Golf Club; the amateur category on 1st to 2nd July 2017
  • U.S Kids Golf Teen World Championship – 23rd to 25th July at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club, North Carolina, USA

 

International upcoming golf competitions

  • The World Amateur Team Championship will take place at Carton House, in Maynooth, near Dublin, from 29th August to 8th September 2018.
  • Espirito Santo Trophy (Women): 29th August to 1st September 2018
  • Eisenhower Trophy (Men): 5th September to 8th September 2018

Georgia Eboh

The ever recorded score made by a Nigerian golfer is the one of Georgia Oboh at the 2015 U.S Kids Golf Teen World champion that took place at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club, North Carolina, USA. Where she played a gross score of 76 over 18 holes on the first day, 78 on the second day and 69 on the last day.

One of the coveted titles won by Samuel Amadi and J. Ajiboye. They have the record title of highest winners of the Champion Trophy, with five trophies each.
